eTapestry Introduces New Website Development Services

Beginning in June 2004, eTapestry expanded their offering to nonprofit organizations by introducing their new Website Development services. eTapestry now provides a complete solution for building, hosting, and maintaining websites.

With over 75% of the population having Internet access, it's clear that every organization needs to have a quality website. Today however, your website needs to be more than just a few pages of text at a web address. It needs to be attractive, secure, provide flexibility for new information, and integrate with valuable web services like online giving and event registration. And if you're a nonprofit organization, it needs to be cost effective to build and maintain with little or no ongoing administration required.

eTapestry can handle the complete process of building, maintaining, and updating your website. Five website packages let you select the features, pricing and capacity that you need. Each website is customized to your specifications and includes your style and logos. Our website development professionals will work with you to incorporate your content, implement the functionality you need, and provide the needed connections to online giving and registration pages.

"We received repeated requests from our eTapestry customers for help with their websites," said Jay Love, President and CEO of eTapestry. "Our customers are looking for one source that can make their website, e-commerce, and database all work together efficiently. Now we can provide the complete solution."

eTapestry's Website Development services are available to all nonprofit organizations and do not require use of the eTapestry database system.

Outlook Email Integration with eTapestry Now Available!

What is it?

Users of Microsoft Outlook can now have emails automatically added to the journal records of their eTapestry donor and prospect accounts. No longer do you need to copy and paste emails to eTapestry. A click of the button from your Outlook task bar can transfer a received email or send and update the journal on a new record.

If you have ever gone searching for copies of emails in your "sent" file, or tried to retrieve an email from your "deleted" items, then this is the tool for you.

Turn your eTapestry database into the total communications tool for your organization by capturing your Outlook communication.

How does it work?

A simple downloaded file installs the necessary components on your workstation. These components automatically work with Outlook to add special buttons to your Outlook task bar. If you want to send a new message from within Outlook, click the "Send & Add to eTapestry" button. Your message will be sent and a copy of it added to the appropriate account record in your eTapestry database.

eTapestry matches the account email to identify the appropriate account – or choose the account whose journal you would like to have updated.

If you have received an email and would like to keep it as part of an eTapestry account's journal record, simply click the "Add to eTapestry" button. Once again, eTapestry will search your database and create an email contact record.

eTapestry's Outlook integration provides the simplicity of use with the power you need to truly track, cultivate, and communicate with prospects and donors. With more and more communication taking place via email, you now have the tools to manage your online correspondence.

The eTapestry Outlook integration option is available for an additional 20% of your eTapestry base service fee. The Outlook integration also includes eTapestry's document attachment service for storing, sending, and capturing attached files. eTapestry and Intacct Partnership Provides Nonprofits Easy Data Transfer

Web-based technologies make for smooth marriage

Nonprofits using Web-based software from eTapestry and Intacct can now easily export financial information from their donor database to their accounting database.

"The integration of the Intacct and eTapestry products provides nonprofits with the first Web-based integrated donor and financial management solution," said Intacct CEO David C. Thomas. "Nonprofit managers can now conveniently access their donor and accounting information at any time or in any place they need the information and produce reports instantly."

Because the eTapestry and Intacct solutions were designed to function through the Internet, nonprofits can easily customize the level of complexity that they need. "Large accounting offices, independent accountants and even small organizations can derive great benefit from the integrated solution," said eTapestry CEO Jay Love.

eTapestry and Intacct also provide multiple users immediate access to real-time versions of their data.

"Our customers don't have to wait to get the updated information," Love said. "It's right there."

Users of eTapestry and Intacct can query items stored in eTapestry, such as transactions involving donations or new funds, and easily transfer that information into Intacct. The data is transferred with a special, integrated export feature that cuts the typical number of export steps in half.
