ACT2000 - start ACT with your database open, pull down File, choose backup. You will be prompted for a location to save your backup. Click the start button. It may take 5 minutes or so to backup and compress your data. When it's done you can close ACT! Attach the file c:\etapact.zip to an email and send to conversions@etapestry.com

1. Select Export under Admin drop down
2. Set Export Type to "Excel spreadsheet", select first Table and click "Export Data"
3. Continue step 2 for all listed tables
4. Select "Code Listings" under Reports drop down.
5. Set Output Type to "Excel spreadsheet" and click "Run Code List Report" for each Code List/Active Flag combiantion.
6. Export/Reports can now be retrived by moving to the "In Box"
7. Click on each item and follow the instructions in order to save the export/report
   to your computer. Please provide file names that are similar to the file Description.

1. Make sure everyone else is logged out of GiftMakerPro
2. From one computer log in to GiftMakerPro
3. Click on File, Data File Status and make a note of (or print and circle) the location of the Data File Path at the bottom of the page. This is the location of the large .df1 file holding your data. You will need to know the exact location of this file for Step #6.
4. Click on File, Campagne Modules, Pro Utilities
5. Select the Pro Utilities Library file for your version of GiftMakerPro (if using version 8.4 this should be C:\Campagne\Pro_Utilities\Pro_Utilities_84.lbr) [** Mac Users -- this library file is on "Macintosh hard drive"]
6. When prompted to find your datafile, select the datafile you identified in the Data File Path in Step #3
7. Click on File, Datafile/Migration Menu (this puts this option on your menu bar)
8. Click on Datafile/Migration from the menu bar
9. Select "Export All Records"
10. Select "Yes"
11. The next message will say e.g., "# text files will be created" Select "Yes"

Numerous text files will be created in the same location as the location of your main GiftMakerPro datafile identified in Step #3. We will need all these files for your conversion. It is recommended that the text files be zipped (Winzip) for easier and quicker data transfer. When this process has been completed, please upload your data to Drop Zone. Your programmer or the Conversions Department can provide an access ID to upload your data.

Start SQL Server, right click on the database....all tasks...Backup Database - Complete....Click Add to add the 'device' (file) to which you want to back up the database to. Click the '...' button to browse to the directory you would like to place the file into. In the file name field, enter a file name with .bak extension (you are creating the file here, so don't worry if you don't see a .bak file). Click ok. Click ok again. Compress your .bak file into one .zip file and send to conversions@etapestry.com
